An Affordable Sat nav that will suit almost everyone? OHREX N76 tested in my Jaguar XK8 and Ducato
Переглядів 862Місяць тому
All sat-navs or GPS devices are a compromise. Particularly when we factor in cost. But OHREX have got the balance so good in their N76 that I can easily use it in my 27 year old non bluetooth Jaguar XK8. And my Fiat Ducato based Motorhome, which needs routing acording to size weight and restrictions. The N76 is already amazingly affordable in my opinion, but I have a further discount code for s...

You have a sound philosophy regarding reviews. Integrity is everything.
Not sure I'll be submitting a photo, but I will definitely be buying the 2025 calendar.
Brilliant, thank you.
You're very welcome!
I nopticed there is a crack and ahole in both of my catalytic converters, my car is a 4.2 and I can't seem to find any catalytic converters for sale for the 4.2 cars.
Hi John. I’m sorry to say Im trying to put my car on next years calendar and seem to have trouble. Could you send details to me please. Sorry for the inconvenience. Steve.
send an email with your picture as an attachment to john@tothegarage.co.uk
Does anyone know how to open flap? Cos I don’t have a clue where the release button is
What a great van, its got a good balance between Ruby and Alfie. Much better as a daily driver.
Hi John, sorry missed the live event….. Are you still considering the XK8 headlight ventilation modification…. My mod occasionally creates a mist in the drivers side only !!!!!
Yes I am still pondering it John. Ive also been looking at one way moisture membranes to incorporate🤔
Hello’s from Sweden
Hello. I own a 2000 XKR. It was the last car my late husband bought in 2010. Sadly, he died in 2012 and I have been driving her since then. You've given me fabulous tips since I found your site and videos, but I can't find one which deals with fuses. I have a repeating problem with the driver seat fuse blowing - most recently when I picked up the car at the airport. Not very convenient. I know where all the facia fuses are and I know where the spares are. I believe I know the location of the relevant fuse - well, replacing it works! However, determined to understand the fuses, I compared the handbook illustration with the fuses in the two facia panels. The ampage I have in place corresponds ONLY SOMETIMES to the handbook illustration! Also, the facia panels each contain 2 rows of 10 and the illustrations have one row of 1 through 10, and the second row is 11 to 18. Can you help? I love my car!
Thank you John for doing this work again this year. It is always a pleasure to see these wonderful British cars. Jaguar fans will be thrilled. Greetings Udo
Thanks Udo. Im looking forward to a new batch of pictures👍
BUT BUT John i was going to put on my bikini and lay across the bonnet, you make it so difficult 😁😁😁😁
It's unfair on the rest of us to allow you to use your 'Allure' in your photo Gary. I mean. The gratuitous use of flip-flop shots is obviously responsible for your UA-cam fortune😁👍
Great work . I think it's also known as stabiliser link
Yes, you are right
Hi John, may i suggest to post the entries on Instagram instead of a slide show on UA-cam.. would be awesome to see those pics of at least some entries which didn’t made it into the calendar. And thank you for your dedication! Cheers
Sorry, won't be able to join you tomorrow evening as I'm working. 😒. Have fun.
I understand mate👍 Loved the Vulcan pic by the way👍
I notice you're nearly at 25k subscribers John. What a milestone that is, so let me be the first to congratulate you for a most excellent channel
Thank you very much @stevepitts7998 It still amazes me that folks want to watch me playing in my garage. But I'm so grateful to have made so many friends, even if most of us don't get to meet in person.
Hi John, think I might have seen you and purdy driving into woodhall spa, blue xkr that flashed
Hi @simonlincs2311 I do drive through Woodall Spa now and again (beautiful area) But have not done so for about 3 weeks.
Thanks John, must be another green xk in Lincolnshire today
I have oil inside my intake thanks to this breather hose. It not only delivers air back to the trotthle body, it also delivers oil from the valve cover... Not to happy about this. My engine running fine, I didn't noticed any problem yet, I have just replaced my Air Filter to KN performance one and during that maintenance I have noticed this issue... I cleaned all the plastic intake from the oil I have found so I hope everything continues to be OK...
I have read in some forums that in the supercharged versions that is kind of normal. Oil vapour/mist is getting back through the breather hose into the intake.... Solution might be a Catch Can.
I wonder how long it will take people to realize how valuable this car will be in another thirty years. I do believe it will certainly surpass The x k e.
Hi John it’s Leslie here. I have a electrical fault on my instrument cluster. Would you know how to clear the fault, my car run very well , my my roof do not open my alarm do not work. My headlight don’t work on my indicator blink on the outside not on the inside my window do not open. I believe I messed up by starting my car with the battery trickled pleaser help me.
Thanks for taking us along John.
Very well explained
Hi, John and family. This exhibition is exactly my taste. Thanks for showing the video. 👌🇬🇧👌🇬🇧👌🇬🇧
Enjoyed this John best regards Andy Allen.
Watch out for that cow...
That Caddy is the size of a bungalow. Pity your camera doesn't have a child sound filter, how annoying, that would drive me nuts. Gracie is lovely I have two Shih Tzu's. and to all it is NOT pronounce shit zoo. IMO the BMW mini is NOT a MINI it is a midi. I have always wanted a Ferguson Tractor, but have absolutely no use for one :(
Same here. Dogs and airplane noise for me.
Decent haul of pre-war Austins there John
Yup. you would have been in your element surounded by little Austins and old Landies
Good evening John, must catch this show, next year.
Hi mate. Yes its a great allrounder with. no fee, no pressure and a nice selection of cars and folk
Nice job, if I tried that it would have ended up broken in pieces all over the floor 😂
Im sure you would do fine Andrew👍 Thanks for watching
I found the J-Gate almost immediately on my XKR. It’s a completely different driving experience. Toggle the Traction Control “Off” and you have another very different/dangerous experience.
The tyre Bill gets a bit worrying if you press that buttton too often Ryan😁. But you will smile a lot👍
London Hyde Park
No. But thanks for joining in Tim👍 I will reveal the real locations soon.
Thank you so much. Has been said in other comments but a clear video and saved me a fortune on garage expenses.
Glad it helped

No. But thanks for joining in @teddyboy9116👍 I will reveal the locations soon
Hi John, Great series, thank you. My Carpuride W903 arrived today! Bracket manufacturing this week! Couple of questions, do you forsee any problems with warm air from the vent during the winter causing any problems with the unit, and did you get round to measuring the angles for bending the bracket?
Hi Alan. I think there is a big enough gap behind the unit for the hot air not to be an issue. I didnt check the angles despite saying i would, but i will announce a live feed video in the next day or two and will make a note to measure it and let everyone know then as well as adding the angles to the description below the video👍
@@ToTheGarage Thanks John
A little late to the game, just got back from France. At first glance I thought it was St Mary’s lighthouse near Whitley Bay but looking again I think it’s Portland Bill.
It is indeed Portland Bill on the isle of portland👍👍🥳
Jurassic Coast...Westbay Dorset UK
It's lovely there.
a quick response with a correct answer @pauldry512. Did the shape of the hill/cliff give it away for you?
Certainly is @user-wz5lc9pu4f. And SERIOUSLY windy as you no doubt heard in that clip
I live nearby and sail my boat around there😀
Sunken ww2 U boat couple of miles to the east
Is the filter the same for a 2002 xkr RHD, as I keep seeing different shapes available!
Should all be the same as far as Im aware. But do check your car has a cabin filter option before you buy one as its not the commonest of options despite being pretty much satndard these days.
@@ToTheGarage Thank you. Will do.
Cornwall is my guess
Thank you, John, I've just unplugged my Intelligent sounder thanks to your tip, hopefully I won't have to keep resetting my windows every day now!
Glad it helped. @spiderfiveeightnine let us know if it has resolved your issues🤞
Somewhere very beautiful, hope you enjoyed your day😊😊
We certainly did Andrew. We had a fantastic if rather expensive posh cheffy breakfast at the cafe Bistro in the barn to the right of the pond. Nom nom nom.
Sounds lovely and some well deserved quality time off😊😊
Underbarrow probably..😅
Another beautiful English village, but not Underbarrow @rolfhauf4266. Great guess though.👍
Thank you John, let me know where it is.. greets from Switzerland..
Tipton
😁 No not Tipton👍
Helm's Deep
Looks like a film set that's for sure.
Looks nice John. Can't be in the UK, the sun's out 😂😂
We caught it on the 2nd day of summer. So only 2 days before summer ended🤣🤣
I think the use of plastic in the cooling system is an appalling reflection on the paucity of engineering and design these days. As well as my XK8, and two other classics, I use a BMW E46 as a daily driver. 2-3 years ago, I was left stranded at the side of the road in the E46 because the top pipe on the radiator is plastic. It clips on to the rad and they are notorious for cracking and dumping the coolant. There is no viable alternative- so you cannot eradicate this well known weak point. Fortunately, my XK8 has an alloy cooling tower. Cheapskate, third rate engineering in my humble opinion. My 52 year old Rover P6B 3500, and 40 year old Capri have no such inherent designed in weaknesses.
Thanks for the idea. After watching your video, I went to Adamesh’s Website and bought the instrument rings. They are now gracing my beauty!
Wonderful!. Im still Very pleased with mine
Excellent tutorial, removed front green colored shocks. The tails of springs at top were oriented to the outside. Bought top mounts (URO) did not use. Used original mounts drilled rivets and cleaned the sticky mess that the Oklahoma had heat had melted. Installed same urethane bits used the full size pucks. Thank you, TTG videos thanks to Peter H.
Nice work @Firehawk135. And yes the more reports im getting back, the more the hot locations seem to suffer more with mount failure.
this vidieo helped me.
Glad to have helped
8:39 "This is one of those cars that's always going much, much faster than you think it is. You reckon you're doing about 70, and then you glance at the speedo and you're doing a hundred and fifty." - Jeremy Clarkson on the XK8
Never a truer word spoken. And yet for some, that is the issue with Jags. They would prefer a car that feels fast (harsh) rather than is effortlessly fast.
